Let me first explain what results from valuing the process means. It means that you value the process you take to be healthy and have a resilient body. We might have slightly different goals and different levels of what we see as a job done. But you will get your result from valuing the process you take.
When it comes to the finer details everyone will be slightly different since we have different lifestyles. The process should match your lifestyle to be sustainable and for you to be consistent.
No more on and efforts, you will be consistent even during busy times, or when a niggle might occur. I only promote processes that will be sustainable long term. So if you get sick and can’t exercise for 2 weeks that is not the end of the world. You will still be consistent with other healthy habits like nutrition and sleep. Also what is 2 weeks here and there if you are consistent over 2-3 years.
This is important, no one else can be incontrol of your health. You are the one who makes the decisions about what you do with your body and health.
To be consistent you need to be flexible to what your life can throw at you from time to time. Knowing how to integrate healthy habits into your lifestyle you are less vulnerable to last minute schedule changes that might prevent you from doing your planned exercise. Integration is the backbone in a healthy life and a resilient body.
You will feel strong, less likely to retract and niggle or injury, you will move better, you will set your body up for healthy aging. You will be able to do your favorite sport/physical activity longer and better.
There it is, the results from valuing the process. Health and a resilient body is a dynamic thing that needs to be worked on and adapted to on an ongoing basis. Training really hard and eating to perfection is not that healthy. Not training at all and not thinking about what you eat is also not healthy and neither will lead to a resilient body.
