I was thinking about a couple of things last week. Main thing was why so many are thinking how we look will make us healthier.
How come when we think of health we focus so much on looks and so little on how we feel?
How come we think how we look will make us feel healthier?
And little on how we feel from doing certain things for our health?
Some comments I have heard this year when it comes to health, and performance.
I remember when I heard these and I was sort of speechless. Even now I don’t quite know what to say. My thought is a massive eye roll and really still today?
However comments and beliefs like this is probably why we focus so little on how we feel instead of how we look and perform. And why many are thinking how we look will make us healthier.
First of I want to say not that important. Because health is not just weight, body composition and performance. Its about how sustainable someones activities are how the relation ship is towards healthy habits and activities and much more.
But having said that someone who is crying extra weight can be healthy. And someone who is considered at a healthy weight range can be unhealthy.
The waist circumference is considered a pretty good indicator of someones health or if the risk of getting a complication is higher. But this is just one metric and way to simple to determine someones health.
What is your thought?
