Is exercising less not an idea that sits well with you? To do less won’t bring that same sense of achievement. It won’t be as rewarding. How would things be for you? if it where not a big deal not to exercise.
What this comes down to is that you are worried that you will fall off the wagon if you do less, you will lose your hard-earned fitness, scarred of gaining weight, a mindset of either you do it properly or you don’t do it at all.
None of these things will happen.
If you look at a lifetime, you want to have a foundation that you can rely on for a lifetime whatever happens.
So if you get injured and it stops you dead in your tracks in your chosen physical activity you can still be and feel healthy. Because you have the discipline, knowledge and tools to achieve this.

Its not a big deal not to exercise. Imagine the relief to feel that you are in control and if you are not exercising for a week you know you wont lose anything.
